CLINICAL RESERACH CORDINATORS

 
  • Adjoa graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Neuroscience. While in college, Adjoa’s research experience mainly focused on behavior, specifically decision making and emotion regulation. In her free time, Adjoa enjoys swimming, running, baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

  • Denise earned her BA in psychology at Columbia University and plans to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. In the future, Denise hopes to expand existing research on cultural adaptations and coping mechanisms for mood and anxiety disorders in Latine and Black communities. Her favorite things to do in her free time are reading, walking her dog, and listening to new music.

  • Mariem Ahmed is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the HABIT Study and the NIA RCMAR. They earned a B.S. in Psychology from Howard University and plan to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. Before joining CHOIR, Mariem worked as a Research Assistant at the PROVE Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. While at Howard, Mariem contributed to research in the Belonging, Learning, Identity, and Culture Lab and conducted independent research exploring trauma through non-Western perspectives. Outside of work, Mariem enjoys biking, traveling to new cities, and discovering new coffee shops.
